YEAR 2003

Since the formation of Massillon Main Street in 1988, there has been tremendous improvement in Downtown Massillon. Massillon Main Street continues to work steadily and quietly to improve the quality of life in the city.

Due to the sluggish National economy in 2003, we have had some vacancies in our downtown. Massillon Main Street continues to work hard to fill the storefronts downtown. Our goal for this year is to completely fill all of the storefronts!

We continue to work well with the City Administration, Building Department, Business Expansion Committee for Downtown Massillon, Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Massillon Association.

We will continue the restoration and rehabilitation of downtown buildings. We continue to focus on upper floor restorations. We still hope to expand our area to include the entire downtown.

Downtown Massillon needs our constant attention and Massillon Street needs your support to make it all possible.
