Travel
through Massillon's past in the new local history, Towpath to Towpath,
by Margy Vogt.
Learn about a local woman whose influence swayed
Wyoming's governor to allow the first women's suffrage in the nation.
And the man who turned the momentum of the 1860 convention to nominate
Abraham Lincoln for President. Find the facts about a fire that
took a block of Massillon¹s downtown and a flood that washed
away the economically-essential Ohio and Erie Canal. Read the city's
story from the time its main street was surveyed until the present.
